A tech-pack is the single document that turns your idea into a manufacturable product. The clearer it is, the fewer sampling rounds you need and the closer the first sample lands to your vision.

The essentials

At minimum, include a technical sketch, measurements with tolerances, fabric and trim specifications, colourways, and construction notes. Precision here prevents expensive misunderstandings later.

  • Flat technical drawing (front and back).
  • Points of measure and a size grid.
  • Fabric composition, weight and supplier reference.
  • Trims: labels, zippers, buttons, threads.
  • Packaging and folding instructions.

Modest-wear specifics

For modest garments, document length, coverage, lining and opacity clearly, these details define the fit and the modesty of the final piece and vary a lot by market.

No tech-pack? Start with ODM

If you do not have a tech-pack yet, a manufacturer with an in-house design team can develop one with you from a reference or from their design library, then move you toward full OEM.
